System Upgrade on March 27, 2024

Public computers (offering Internet access and printing) and online services such as the Ohio Digital Library (Libby), hoopla, and online databases will be unavailable for a period of time on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 due to a system-wide computer upgrade.

To check out materials, patrons will need to present their library card as our circulation system will also be a part of the upgrade.

Pinewood Derby Day at the Library

The 2024 National Library Week theme is "Ready, Set, Library!"  In celebration of National Library Week, the Library encourages school-aged youth, grades K-12, to register for the Library's PInewood Derby Day.  This fun-filled, free event will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  This inaugural event is open to the public. 

Holiday Family Take and Make Kits Available

Bossard Library is pleased to provide library patrons with a "Boardroom in a Bag" holiday take-and-make kit, while supplies last.

Enjoy some family time this holiday season by creating lasting keepsakes over the holiday break.

Kits will be available to be picked up beginning Tuesday, December 19 at 10:00 AM.

So that everyone has a chance to create a keepsake, there is a limit of one (1) kit per household, please.

COSI Water Connect Kits Available

Ever wonder how a ship as big as the Titanic could float? Or how water striders are able to walk on water? Water is all around us, and the COSI Connects Water Kit explores all sorts of water-related science activities.

These FREE kits, available while supplies last, include five water-themed STEM activities and science experiments for grades K-8.

River Cities Warming Drive

The United Way of the River Cities is collecting for a Warming Drive.

They are now accepting new and gently used coats and cold-weather items for children and adults (all sizes).

A collection bin is located as you enter the Library near the Circulation Desk.

All items collected in Gallia County will go to help Gallia County citizens.
