WJEH General Manager Marianne Campbell hears the alarm of the AP wire machine sound and immediately rushes to the machine to receive the news that she, along with others at the station, knows must be of utmost importance. In shock and utter disbelief, those at the station stood at the AP ticker and were dumbfounded at the news they received from Dallas, Texas: President Kennedy has been shot.
